A Sweet Poison – Chapter – 8 – Damn Diya….!! – Story

Thanks to all your lovely comments KAYNAT and ASIAN CUTIE. Loved your comments….!! Pleaseeeeeee keep commenting…..
……………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Chapter-8

“Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy……….I cant go to school today”, this was the first thought that came to my mind when mom came to wake me up.
“Mom, pleaseeeeeeeeeee, I don’t want to go to school today”, I wailed.

How could I, when there I was bound to see DJ, who was surely damn angry with me for asking 1 damn question???? Nicely, maybe I had hurt his privacy….Maybe I should have waited a bit longer to ask, maybe I shouldn’t have asked him about Diya at all.

Damn Diya….I felt sincerely that she was the root cause of this all. Damn damn damn her. But what the hell was between them that DJ refused to speak about her? Was her name a taboo in front of him? It was like I’d stepped upon semi-solid ice which’d broke now, leaving nothing but water. I definately should have waited a little longer for our friendship to’ve become steadier…….

“No way, child. You can’t just skip school at your will. Are we fools, spending our hard-earned money at your private school’s fees, when you don’t even wish to go to school? Do you even realize the worth of money and your education?DO YOU????”, wailed back my mom.

Whoa !! I’d expected some coaxing, some comforting, some soothing talk. What was all this shouting and wailing about? And that too so early morning?? No way I could contradict this. Huh. Maybe she was in a bad mood…………

Since I hadn’t done anything badly wrong, and since I was a single child (so no chance of any troublesome sibling-thank God and by the way,DJ’s a single child too!! But Diya’s got three more sisters-what a trouble !!); so most likely the reason was dad. Did mom-dad have a fight too? Looks like a fighting season was inside the air!!

“Mom, what’s the matter? Why are you angry this early in the day?”, I asked, covering a yawn.
“Angry? ANGRY? Step in my shoes, Sarah.Just try and bear the selfish demands of a teen daughter plus a grumbling spouse and you’ll suddenly see that I have every reason to be angry. Now get up fast and be ready, or else you’ll see the worst side of me.”, she said, walking away, apparently still mumbling under her breath.

Huh,fussy parents…..Making a face, I threw up the warm blanket covering me-a very courageous deed cuz I hate getting out of the blanket in winters and started getting ready. Then, taking a bath was an equally heroic deed I accomplished with great difficulty today. Finally with a worried expression on my face, I started for school. Gosh, how was to I face DJ today????

However, controlling my nervous mind, I reached school. Soon after the assembly and the attendance, our class teacher suddenly cleared her throat 3 times, which we all understood that it meant something important was coming up. The entire class was silent. What was it? What the hell was coming up????!!!!

The class teacher felt mildly surprised by this sudden silence and said,” Students, I have a very important announcement to make. Please listen carefully. Just like the last year, our school is ready to organize its ‘Adventure Camp’ once once again. So you all have to sit for an aptitude test next Monday. The top two scorers of this test will get the chance to attend this prestigious camp with students from all over India. So volunteers please submit your names for the test here and kindly start preparing”…..
And saying so, she left the class as the period ended….

It all happened in split seconds-Diya swung her arms tightly about DJ in front of the whole class, exclaiming that a year had passed since their relationship. All the students started hooting and teasing them. DJ tried his best to shake off Diya, with an utterly disgusted expression on his face and seeing that Diya was moving closer to DJ in a highly indecent manner, enclosing his neck with her arms and thrusting her body forward towards him, I stood up from my seat, marched to where she was embracing DJ, pulled them apart; and slapped Diya with all the might I could muster……………….

Chapter Ten: School Again

Noelle?s POV
I woke as much as my alarm clock blaring and I hit the off switch. I climbed out of bed and stumbled to the closet. I took some clothes with me to the bathroom and I showered quickly. I shaved my legs and did all my girl stuff then trudged back upstairs to put a little make up on. I didn?t do much, I just didn?t care about it, I was missing Jared. I grabbed my backpack and slid a pair of sneakers on before going downstairs and grabbing a bagel. I walked out the door and down the driveway.

I created my way towards the bus stop slowly, almost hoping I?d miss the bus and wouldn?t have to go to school. I put my headphones in and hit play on my ipod. You?re Every little thing by Kate Alexa began playing, and I sang along, thinking about Jared.

Right from the day, I saw your face, and it all just felt so proper.
And when I appear back, I see the smile, you gave to me that night.
Your are the gate appropriate to my heart.
I wanna live like this forever and ever.

You’re everything very good to me
You make me free
You’re every little thing I’ll ever need
You’re all I dream
You’re every thing
You make me complete
And now I can fly above the ground
Cause you’re every little thing, you’re every thing.

Oooh yeah..

Its finally clear now that your here, I’ve lost all that I fear.
I’ll usually embrace this fantasy place, this all just feels so real.
Under the sun, under the rain, just as long as I’m with you, with you..

You’re everything good to me
You make me free
You’re every thing I’ll ever need
You’re all I dream
You’re everything
You make me complete
And now I can fly above the ground
Cause you’re almost everything, you’re every thing..

Not a lonely day goes by
With you correct here by my side
You give me the strength
I can do anything, anything
When you are here
My mind is clear

You’re every little thing good to me
You make me free
You’re almost everything I’ll ever need
You’re all I dream
You’re everything
You make me complete
And now I can fly above the ground
Cause you’re everything, you’re every little thing…

You’re everything

Another voice cut into the last few lyrics and I jumped, startled to see another person in the bus stop. It wasn?t Lana and that?s what really startled me. It was a boy… wait, I recognized those eyes! “You know this song?”

“Yeah. My sister loves Kate Alexa.” He shrugged, looking slightly embarrassed. “Hey, aren?t you the girl on the trail that day?” Holy crap… it was that Alex kid! “Noelle appropriate?”

“Uh yeah that?s me.” I blushed.

He laughed. “I have your flip flops by the way, or at least, I?m assuming their yours… you were barefoot in the time…”

“Yeah, they?re mine… I totally forgot I left them.” I blushed harder, feeling so stupid… I mean honestly, who forgets their shoes??

He smiled. “I can bring them for you tomorrow, if you would like.”

“Sure. Thanks. Exactly where do you live anyway?”

“Right over there, the white house.” He pointed to a house only three away from my own.

“Oh that?s cool. I didn?t realize you lived so close.”

“Where do you live?”

“Three houses down from yours, the light blue one.” I gestured towards it. The bus pulled up and I climbed on, heading to an empty seat towards the back, wondering exactly where Lana was. Knowing her she slept in and her mom would give her a ride to school. I sat, and slouched down in the seat. Since my bus stop is the last stop before school, the bus is usually full.

“Is it okay if I sit here?” Alex asked me.

“Uh yeah, sure.” I scooted over closer to the window and he sat down. “We?re the last bus stop, so the bus is always this packed when we get on.” I scrolled through the songs on my ipod, trying to find a song.. not a particular song, just something that wouldn?t make me miss Jared too much. Finding that impossible, I put my ipod in my backpack and just stared out the window instead.

“So how?s school here?”

“It?s pretty very good… the teachers are pretty cool… the principal is nice enough I guess… the cafeteria food sucks, but I guess that?s normal.” I shrugged. “I like the school.”

“Cool. I got my schedule within the mail a few days ago, do you know exactly where any of these classes are?” He handed me a schedule. It was the identical schedule as mine. Simply because this school is so small that there aren?t many sophomores. There are only two different schedules for the sophomores. And we had the exact same schedule.

“Yeah, we actually have every class together.”

“Great. I guess I?ll be seeing a lot of you then.”

“Yeah I guess so.” The bus stopped in the school and we all piled out. I let myself get pushed along using the wave of kids into the school and, as usual, we had to wait inside the lobby before the morning bell rang. No kids are allowed inside the hallways before the morning bell.

I started walking down the hall and I heard Alex call out my name. I turned and saw him hurrying towards me. “Can you aid me find out exactly where the heck my locker is?” He looked really nervous and I almost laughed.

“Sure. Come on.” I took his wrist and dragged him off to the sophomore lockers. “You are a sophomore right?” When he nodded, I asked, “And you?re locker number is?”

“312.” He looked down at the paper to make sure and then nodded. “Yeah. 312.”

“Okay mine is 299, so yours is…” I scanned the numbers until we discovered his. “Right here. The lockers stay the same all through highschool… these are the sophomore lockers, but next year they?ll be the junior lockers, and then the senior lockers…. Okay, we?ve got Biology first, so put your stuff in and get a notebook if you brought 1.” I opened my locker and emptied out my backpack. I had brought a case with pencils and pens, as well as a few notebooks. I grabbed one and took my pencil case with me. I slammed the locker shut and waited for him before leading him down the hallway.

We walked into the Biology lab just before the bell rang. “Hey everybody. I?m Mr. Levitt. I?m so glad this is a small school… small classes are so easy to handle.” He smiled. “Okay, so, why don?t you all sit down… I see some of you still standing… and then one by 1 stand up, say your name and one thing that you love to do.”

I wanted to roll my eyes. We?re high-schoolers not preschoolers. “Okay, you,” He pointed to Alex. “You first.”

“Okay. I?m Alex Foster and I love to run.”

I stood up. “I?m Noelle Carter. And I love to draw.” I sat back down and leaned back. The desks were all so close together, that I was putting my head on Alex?s desk. “Hope you don?t mind.” I said with a smile, staring up in the ceiling. He just laughed as the rest of the class introduced themselves.

But with a school as small as ours, only two hundred students, I knew them all anyway. We?d grown up together. A person ran in. “Hey sorry I?m late. I overslept.” It was Lana, I heard her sit next to me and the introduce herself, as, “Lana Nason. I?m Sleepy over there?s best friend, and I love to be fashionably late.” I laughed. Naturally she?d call me Sleepy…

“I?m not the one who overslept!” I muttered out, protesting. I sat up and glared at her. She just laughed.

“Okay, I think today I?m just gonna pass out the books and let you all have fun today.” Mr. Levitt said, handing out our Biology books. “I?m going to go to the greenhouse and let you all just chill out.” The greenhouse was a small thick plastic walled, roofed room in the back of the biology room, so he went out there with a few kids who wanted to support him check on the plants.

“So, I?m Lana, and I apologize for my sleepy friend Noelle there, who?s big head is drooling all more than your desk.” I heard Lana giggled and I frowned. “Just kidding Noelle!” She grinned and I rolled my eyes. She giggled again, and began questioning Alex. “So, new kid, what?s your name and exactly where are you from?”

“My name is Alex and I just moved from California, but I was born in Paris… my parents travel a lot, so I?ve lived a lot of different places.”

“Cool! Like where?” I asked, turning around in my seat to face him.

“Well, like I said, I was born in Paris, but when I was about a year old, we moved to London, when I was five we moved to Sydney, Australia, when I was seven we moved to Florida, when I was eight we moved to Germany and Egypt, and I lived in Egypt until I was thirteen when we moved to California and we stayed there until we moved here.”

“You lived in Paris? That?s sooooo cool.” Liz walked up and sat on his desk. “What was Paris like?” I guess I should mention that Liz is my least favorite individual within the world… she?s not a complete slut… she?s just really annoying, somewhat slutty and usually obnoxious.

“I dunno, I was only a baby when I was there.” He told her, seeming uncomfortable. She scooted closer, and I almost laughed at the appear on her face.

“Oh… properly, maybe we could go to Paris together sometime.” She batted her eyelashes at him, a small, supposed to be sexy smile on her face and he burst out laughing.

“Nah, I?m excellent. I?d rather not.” He gently pushed her off and she stomped away. “Wow… she seems nice.” He said sarcastically.

I chuckled. “Yeah… she?s… sweet.” I tried to be nice… but my voice was definitely sarcastic.

“Yeah, sweet like a rat.” Lana chuckled and we turned to see Liz talking to a group of football players.

“So… Noelle, you and Alex seem like you know each other… care to explain why?” Lana asked, suddenly, surprising me.

“Uhm, we met on the trail behind my house one day… absolutely nothing big.” I said, glancing at Alex and hoping he wouldn?t say anything. Thankfully, he just nodded, not explaining anything that happened. Not like anything had really happened anyway, but I wanted to make sure he didn?t say that I?d left my flip flops or that I had fallen asleep or anything.

“Oh, cool. Nicely, I?m going to the bathroom.” She hopped up and signed out on the sign out sheet before skipping out the door and down the hallway.

Alex laughed. “She seems crazy. In an excellent way.”

“She really is.” I smiled. “She?s my best friend… and we?re both pretty insane at times…. her more than me naturally.” I laughed quietly.

“Yeah, sure… I bet your just as crazy if not more.” He grinned and I blushed slightly… wow, he had a strange effect on me.

The day dragged on until it was finally ten minutes before the bell could ring and we?d be out of school. Alex was hysterically funny and me and Lana had almost been given four detentions from laughing too much, but as usual Lana weaseled our way out of it. I smiled, thinking of how she could get out of almost anything.

Lana turned to me and whispered, “His voice is soo annoying.” She was talking about our teacher Mr. Bradley. He had an almost high pitched, monotonous voice that droned on in the most boring but annoying tone, and when he sneezed… it honestly sounded like one of those cuckoo clocks.

And unfortunately he sneezed a lot since of his allergies… he?s allergic to almost almost everything.

I laughed and he turned to us. “Lana and Noelle, if you’ll be able to?t behave yourselves, go to the office.”

“Oh we can behave ourselves.” Lana told him and he turned back to the board. “I think he?s going bald.” She giggled. “Look in the top of his head.”

“What are you whispering about?” Alex turned about from his seat in front of us.

“Oh we?re just talking about Mr. Bradley. The annoying U.S. history teacher that nobody likes.” Lana whispered loudly. A few other kids chuckled and Mr. Bradley turned about.

“Alright, what is going on?”

“Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. We?re just paying attention to your fascinating lesson concerning the Revolutionary war. It?s so interesting.” She sounded like she had been paying attention and he beamed.

“Well I do try my best to make the lessons interesting for you students.” He turned around again and started writing some notes on the board. “Please copy these into your notebooks.”

I sighed and did as he said, writing down the notes in a clear neat handwriting… knowing Lana would ask to borrow my notes to write her own, I constantly produced sure they were easy to read… especially since he had told us that we could use our notebooks in all our tests and quizzes.

Only five more minutes… “And, there will be no homework tonight, since it is your first day as a sophomore, I?ll be nice.” He smiled at us all and we smiled back, faking angelic faces. Four more minutes. Almost everyone was staring at the clock since the lesson was more than.

“Three more minutes.” I moaned… then we could go to our lockers and then the busses and then property. Thank goodness…

“Two more minutes.” Lana grinned. “And then you?ll be free to call Jared and be all lovey dovey.” She laughed and I rolled my eyes.

“Who?s Jared?” Alex asked, confused.

“Her boyfriend of almost two months. They started dating a week ish after the fourth of July… honestly, I?m not completely sure when you two even started dating…”

“To tell you the truth, neither am I… it just happened.” I smiled and she laughed.

“Well I?m glad it happened. You two are so cute together.” She grinned. Alex had a strange look on his face but he smiled to, just as the bell rang. I jumped up, grabbing my stuff and hurried out into the hallway. I had no homework, so I left everything in my locker, including my backpack, since I didn?t need it, and started walking down the hallway. I got onto the bus and sat down in the back.

Alex and Lana climbed on and Lana sat next to me, Alex sat in front of us. I felt my phone vibrate and I pulled it out of my pocket.

hey babe how was school? It was from Jared. I smiled and texted him back.
it was ok, how about u

“Oooh, I bet that?s Jared.” Lana screeched, grabbing my phone. “Hey babe how was school? Awww.” She cooed. “He?s such a sweetie.” I took my phone back, glaring at her.

“Lana don?t read my texts out loud. I think everyone on the bus heard you.” I hissed, sticking it back in my pocket. She just giggled and smiled her infectious smile, and I couldn?t aid but smile back.

Alex was quiet on the bus ride house, but I didn?t really notice simply because I was texting Jared. I got off in the bus stop and started walking residence. “Noelle come to my house!” Lana screamed loudly, making a lot of dogs start barking. I rolled my eyes.

“Okay!” I turned into her driveway and waved goodbye to Alex.

“Sooooo, guess what!?” She asked, bouncing into her house and onto her couch.

“What? And how do you have so much energy?”

“I slept really excellent last night and I had way too much sugar this morning.”
I laughed and nodded. “Obviously you did.”

“So I talked to Aaron during homeroom. And I think he likes me.” She grinned. “Isn?t that awesome?”

She?d been crushing on Aaron for forever it seemed. I shrugged… personally, I didn?t like Aaron.. he was too popular and over confident. “That?s pretty cool.”

“I know you don?t like him, but could you please be happy for me?” She was winding down now, flopping backwards onto the couch and putting her feet up. “Please?”

“I am happy for you. Honest.” I smiled and she grinned.

“Thanks.”

When you get the trouble of loans for the bad credit, what actions you will act? The loans for bad credit can be availed in secured or unsecured options. Generally, lenders prefer to offer finance to you against a property like your home, vehicle and valued papers to cover the risks. Such a kind of secured loans is approved without making your credit history an issue. But you will lose the property in case of payment default. You can borrow 5000 to 75000, depending on value of collateral. Interest rate will be lower due to collateral. You can repay the loan in 5 to 25 years to lower your monthly outgo towards the installments. And then I want to move to the personal loans which is different from the other loans. Roulette program

Maybe it is not so strange for you when I mention about the roulette program which is a kind of casino online which has become more and more popular among the mass. An increasing number of people conduct the casino in different styles for different reasons; some people touch the casino just for money, while the others do it for other reasons. This program runs a GA. The roulette wheel method for parent selection is used here. Elitism is included. Parent selection is from the population including the elite chromosomes. The standard bit form is used here. As usual, code works in terms of fitness values (higher better) results, however, are reported for the loss values of actual interest. This code does not work with constraints on theta values other than those directly associated with thetamax and thetamin. -This program runs a GA. Renewal, Chapter 6 – Story

A few weeks past, nothing really happens. I started hearing this annoying buzz in my ear a few days right after Mitchel kissed me, and now it’s like I hear little voices in my head. Maybe it’s part of my ability, or I’m just going crazy. Who knows? I told Hayden about the kiss, and he flipped out. I made him promise that he wouldn’t do anything to Mitchel, but during football practice, he can tackle him as hard as he wants. Amanda, well I can tell she still hurts. She still won’t talk to Mitchel, and I don’t blame her. He’s a jerk for what he did. I hear her quietly crying in her room at night. Out in public however, she acts like absolutely nothing happened. She laughs and smiles, talks with her friends. But if you look closely in her eyes, you see a deep sadness that was in no way there. Like someone plagued with grief.

My SAT’s are coming up in a few months. My friends call me crazy to be studying for them already. I need to be prepared though. I got invited to take a day off from all my crazy studying and go shopping with my friend Alyson. It sounds enjoyable, but I’m nervous. I know it sounds weird to be nervous going to the mall, but I’m. I’ve never ever completed it before, except with Amanda. Saturday she’s picking me up from my house, and we are going to the local mall for a few hours. She says possibly lunch after if we have enough money. I hope it’s fun.

“Ally! Alyson is here!.” my mom yells up the stairs.
“Yup! Hold on a minute!” I yell back, grabbing my purse. I run down the stairs, kiss mom on the cheek quickly, and run out the door. Alyson is pulled more than against the curb, door wide open for me to jump into.
“Hey girl! Cool you could come with me today. It would have sucked going shopping alone.” She says to me, as we drive off.
“Well thanks for inviting me. All I would have carried out is stay in me room.”
“Studying. That’s all you do, so I believed you and me could get some girl time.” she says, smiling at me.

The ride to the mall lasted about an hour, and we spent the entire time with the radio cranked, singing to every song, even if we don’t know it. This was the first time I had fun, without Hayden.
Zzzzzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzzz. My phone goes off. “Ugh it’s Hayden. I told him I was gonna be gone today.”
“Well tell him you can’t talk proper now. It’s girls day, no boyfriends, family, no one.” she says, grabbing my phone from my hand after I sent the message, and throws it inside the back seat. “Time to have some enjoyable!”

We get to the mall and shop all day. I thought my legs were going to fall off from all the walking. We both went to our favorite store DEBS and purchased ourself both really cute dresses. Alyson’s short and flowing, with a black skirt and white top. The waist has a hot pink satin going about it, and a rhinestone gem in the center. It looks gorgeous on her, with her long blond hair, slim body, and bright blue eyes. There is another person I’m jealous of.

My dress is a little more extravagant. It is black and white, with white embroidery on the neckline. It has a tiered skirt, with white poking out underneath. Alyson said it looks amazing on me, and I have to admit that it does. It’s perfect for me. We also bought some jewelry, and some amazing high heels to match each of our dresses.
Walking out of the shoe store, some guy runs into me. My bags go everywhere, and I fall to the floor. Let me tell you one thing, falling inside the middle of the mall hurts, and is very embarrassing. I see a hand enter my vision, and I just bat it away.

“Are you ok?” a man asks me. I guess it was the guy who held his hand out for me.
“I’m fine.” I grumble, standing up on my own. I turn my head up to the guy who ran into me, and shock waves run through my body. It’s my cousin Jeremy.
“Jeremy?? What are you doing here?” I ask, stunned. He lives all the way in Alaska, my Uncle Jason’s oldest son.
“Alexandria?” he asks back, just as stunned. “I’m down on break with a friend. He’s around here somewhere.” he says, looking about. “Ah there he is.” He points to a really tall guy leaning against the wall.

The guy notices Jeremy pointing to him, and walks more than. As he walks more than, I notice just how tall he is. He looked no more than 16 or 17, but his hight says different.
“Hi.” he causally says when he gets closer. He looks from Alyson, to Jeremy, then to me. When he looks at me, his eyes grow wide, and his breathing pauses. I guess I had done the very same thing. When he had gotten closer, I could see his features more clearly. His hair was like mine, so brown it looked black. His facial features looking as if they were cut from stone, so sharp, his skin pale. What got me the most was his eyes. They were the very same shade as mine. Jade green.

“H.. hi.” I stutter back. I was shocked. He looked so similar to me. Even his voice, it wasn’t as gruff as most guy’s. It has a light, airiness to it, almost musical. “What are you doing down here in Maine?” I ask, trying to brush my surprise aside. Oh I hope Alyson doesn’t take this as something else. She’s starting to stare at us funny.

“Jeremy and I are on break, and we decided to obtain out of Alaska for a week or two.” he says, finally tearing his eyes from my face.
“Why here though?” I question.
“Ally, this is where I’m from. Alex wanted to see what my hometown was like, so dad gave me permission to come. We just got here a few hours ago, but seeing as neither of us have anything for this type of clothing for this weather, we needed to go shopping.” Jeremy says, making all heads turn to him.

“Alex? Not the appropriate type of clothing? Ok, I’m confused. Exactly where are you two even staying?” I asked, more puzzled than I was before.
“It’s short for Alexander. In Alaska, it’s freezing cold. It’s fall here. The only clothes we have are big winter jackets, and pants about 2 inches thick. A little too warm.” Alex says.
“And we have no where to stay yet.” adds Jeremy.
“Well, I’m sure my mother would let you guys stay. We have plenty of room for both of you. And I’m positive she won’t mind seeing you once again Jeremy, seeing as you never ever visit anymore.” I say,

“Are you sure? I don’t desire to barge in on Aunt Jessica and Uncle David. We can find a location that will be fine.” Jeremy says, starting to act more like my shy cousin I knew.
“Wait, you two are cousins?” Alex asks in disbelief.
“Yeah, my father is her father’s younger brother. We never ever get to see each other.” Jeremy states, trying to get past all of it.
“Jeremy, just come with us. I’m sure you took a bus here from the airport, and Alyson has room in her auto. She can just drop you off at my house with me.” I say, looking at him with my “puppy-dog face” as Hayden calls it.

“Ok ok fine, we will. Come on Alex, lets go.”
We head residence, and I can tell what Alyson keeps sending me for looks. She knows about my ability, and points to me then her head, asking me to read her thoughts. I open up my mind, and gasp. I felt someones mind so clear and prominent. I had never ever felt it before. Looking inside the direction I felt it, Alex was there. His eyes were wide once again, just as they were inside the mall. I try to ignore it, and breach Alyson’s mind. I nod to her, so she can start thinking what she wanted to say out loud in her mind.

“He likes you! He really does! It was like the two of you had an instant connection. I could tell!” she keeps going on and on about how hot he is, and how she wants to obtain close to him, hoping something would spark between them.
“Alyson. Alyson. Alyson. ALYSON!” I yell with my mental voice.

“Whoa, Ally?” Alyson asks. “Oh my gosh! This is so cool! We can speak mentally!”
“I’m gonna stop in a minute, so you can pay attention the the road. But seriously? I have Hayden. I don’t want Alex. And please, oh please please please, don’t try anything with him. He’s going to be gone in two weeks. Long distance will never ever function with you. Now, I’ll just talk to you later on chat or something.” I plead, hoping she would get the message.

“Fine! I won’t. Now get out of my mind.” she laughs. “It’s weird having a person in my head. I feel vulnerable.”
I pull out of her mind, and really feel curious. I reach out again, towards Alex, brushing Jeremy’s and Allyson’s minds aside. I reach Alex, and take a deep breath. Slowing, I slide into his mind, and almost pull out at what I hear.
“I was wondering when you would speak to me.” he says.

Your Back – Chapter 15 – Story

[Part 15]

I found myself awake at noon within the morning cleaning. Scrubbing, vacuuming, wiping and washing various things to be exact. I was starting to doubt my decision to have him come here. Did I even need to speak to him? Was him coming to my house a bad choice?
It was too late to back out now, I told myself as I finished loading the washer with dishes.
My mom had already left for her job as a secretary for some big-shot lawyer. It was the closest she had come to her dream of being a lawyer herself is what she has told me a few years back when she started there.

Thankfully, Riley had left in the middle of the night and was nowhere to be seen.
It was getting close and closer to noon so I hurried upstairs to shower and get dressed before he arrived. When I emerged from the shower twenty minutes later, my hair was washed and smelling fresh. Unfortunately I didn’t have Mariah’s wonder shampoo or conditioner so it wasn’t as soft as how it was the night of the school dance, but it’d have to do. I quickly went to my closet and discovered my favorite loose white u-neck t-shirt, and my dark fitted skinny jeans, and changed into them.

At exactly twelve o’clock the door bell rang and I felt my stomach clench in obvious nervousness. Quickly shaking it off, I hurriedly slipped on my fuzzy blue house slippers and scampered downstairs.
With a deep breath I steeped as much as the front door and whipped it open. As an after thought I told myself I should have checked who it was, but pushed it aside when I saw him standing on my porch with his hands within the pockets of him black slim jeans.
He had been looking down at his gray Vans, but looked up when he heard me open the door.”Hey.”

“Hi,” I greeted with a smile. A second wave of nervousness hit me as I watched him stand there. I nonetheless wasn’t sure this was the right thing, or smartest thing to do, but like I had said earlier, it was too late to back out now.
Andrew cleared his throat, ‘Uh, its type of cold out here.” he hinted and I saw his breath as he spoke it.
I stepped back allowing room for him to come in and escape the cold November air. “Yeah, sorry. Come in.”

He stepped about me and began to remove his modern style leather jacket. Suddenly a wave of consciousness swam through me as I watched him stand in my old house. He was probably used to big mansions like the 1 Jack owned and possibly even lived in 1 himself. There weren’t many high class neighborhoods in town, but the few that were around had amazing big houses in it. And compared to those, my house looked an old shack.
He was nonetheless looking about as I led him into the living room and we sat down on the sofa. “So…” I started, sitting at the opposite end of the couch facing him.
“lt looks the exact same.” he said, “kind of.”

I looked around the room, my eyes taking in almost everything I was so used to looking at. The old TV set sitting on its wooden shelf thing, the small glass coffee table stood in front of the couch, the tan carpet lying under every little thing only covered with a few stains.
“I changed the window curtains,” I said looking at the basic cream colored 1 that hung in location of the old floral print ones.
Andrew follow my gaze, “Oh, yeah. Those are nice.” He turned back and offered a small smile.
“Are you thirsty?” I asked suddenly, wanting to do something to fill the awkward space.
He started to shake his head, but I hurried to the kitchen before he could decline. Thankfully I had went shopping earlier that week and we nonetheless had went shopping earlier that week and we nonetheless had some drinks.

I grabbed two bottles of pop and began back to the sofa, “Here,” I stuck out a bottle or Jones cream soda and he took it as I sat back down.
“I remember you used to say that you would rather be at my old house, than at your place.” I told him trying to fill in the space with something other than uncomfortable silence.
Andrew stared in the drink in his hand for a long moment before finally answering, “Yeah, I remember.”
What am I supposed to talk about? I pounced inwardly. When I had to him to come over so we- could talk, I had imagined us laughing around as if we were two strangers forced to share each others company.

“Did you even remember me when you were gone?” I asked suddenly.
Andrew looked at me for a moment as if searching my face for an answer. “Yes.” he sighed and continued, “I mean for a while I didn’t know what was going on and I was younger so lots of things in my past kind of blurred. I remembered bits and pieces of things, and sometimes something reminded me of back then I’d just keep going on with life.”
I stared in the bottle in my hand as I asked my next question. “Why didn?t you ever try to contact us? Contact me?”

Andrew gave a small shrug, “I don?t know. I guess it?s just when your best friend moves away, you try the long distance thing for a while and soon after a while the breaks between calls and visits get longer. You both have new friends, adventures that the other individual wasn?t a part of. Soon you haven?t talked to them for the longest time, and when you desire to speak to them, you don?t know if it?s worth it. Will they be different? Will they want to talk? Will they remember you, and what it was like to be a friend? Will they care?”

I nodded remembering how many times I?d wanted to find his number somehow and let him know I was nonetheless out there, wanting to talk to him. But then I would remember he was a different individual now. He went to big movie premiers and events; he hung out with celebrities, owned a beach house in Malibu, had a mansion in Beverly Hills, and was even in an up and coming band. How was I- a scrawny girl from a small town- supposed to compete with that? How would he even remember that, with all the primped and glitzy girls in California flocking around him?
I set the bottle on the coffee table, my thumbs began moving and swirling about 1 another- a nervous habit I occasionally found myself doing in stressful situations- as soon as I brought my hands together in my lap.

“It?s quiet.” Andrew noted following more than a while of silence.
His voice pulled me from the hypnotic movement of my circling thumbs and I forced my gaze as much as see him looking about the room. “Do you want the TV on, or something?” I offered not knowing what he meant.
He shook his head, “No, I meant its quiet. Like nobody is moving around the house. It?s empty.”
I felt a small tug at my heart when he said that. This house was empty. My dad was gone, mother and brother were hardly ever here. It was pretty much just me left to keep this thing together. There were no family dinners, family nights, no laughter or jokes within the infrequent conversations.

“Oh,” I, too, took a look about and nodded. “There?s nobody else in the house.”
Andrew?s eyebrows raise, he turned to appear back at me, “No 1 else?” he asked. I shook my head. Slowly the cocky-sly grin that had been on his face during our first few meetings crept across his features as he continued to look at me. “Ah, I see.”
I leaned back against the arm rest of the couch as I looked at him carefully. “And what is that you see?”
His top lip curved upwards cutely as he continued to look at me, “You? and me.” I raised my eyebrow. “Alone.”
“So?” I asked cautiously.
“So you wanted me all to yourself didn?t you?” he smirked, his lip still curved upwards in a grin.

“Ha!” I snorted. “Right! I just couldn?t wait to be alone with you?” I ran a hand through my hair and focused my eyes back on him.
His joking manner slowly faded into a more serious one. “But seriously, exactly where is everyone? I don?t think you live on your own, yet. “
I didn?t know what he meant, but I pushed it aside with a deep sigh. We had only just located each other once more soon after five years and I wasn?t ready to bring up the problems of my family just yet. “They?re not here. My mom?s at function and Riley is? Somewhere.”
Andrew nodded. “And your dad?”
My eyes shot away from his and landed on my lap, thumbs started circling one another once once more at record speed. I bit my bottom lip to keep it from trembling, “He?s not here.” I whispered soon after a moment. My lip was stinging from the pressure of my teeth pressing into it.

If my actions came across as strange to him, he didn?t show it and thankfully he didn?t question my vague answer, letting it go with a small, “Oh.”
I slowly stood following a while of complete, awkward silence and went into the kitchen. I grabbed my bottle of Jones on the way and took a big swig as I opened the fridge, looking for something to eat. I looked more than the minimal food within the fridge and my stomach let out a low growl, reminding that I hadn?t eaten at all morning. There was hardly any food left in the fridge even though I had went shopping earlier that week, only a few drinks some other random snacks were left.
I heard Andrew walk up behind me into the kitchen. “What are you doing?” his low voice came from somewhere to my right.
I shifted some things around inside the fridge uselessly. “Uh, looking for food.” I stated into the coldness of its cavity.

“I figured as much, but it doesn?t seem like anything is in there, so I don?t understand-” his cut off and I heard him take a few steps.
Instantly I jerked my head out of the fridge and looked around for him, thinking that he might be playing some stupid joke and didn?t desire to have my head inside a fridge. I saw him reach out for something and I moved my eyes to see what it was. A bottle. A bottle of cleaning spray.
“Don?t touch that!” I lunged forward to snatch it from him, right as he asked, “Did you clean up for me?” with an amused smile on his face.

I snatched the bottled away from him, not wanting to admit that I actually had cleaned the house before he came more than. “No!” I said too quickly and he broke out into an even bigger grin. I hurriedly stuffed the bottle under the sink and turned to face Andrew who still had a smirk on his face. “I just had to clean a few things, but I didn?t do it for you.”
“Of course not.”
“I didn?t!” I snapped folding my arms across my chest.
“Right.” He muttered and I gave him (what I hoped was) a withering glare. “So? food?”
I softened a little when I remembered my quest to eat, my stomach let out another low rumble. “Pizza?” I offered snatching the cordless phone off the couch and waving it in Andrew?s direction. “Sounds great.”

Thirty minutes later I had set up the DVD player, grabbed a couple more drinks, set them on the table, and was sitting on the couch going through old movies that were from the shelf in my room. It took a while, but I had finally convinced Andrew to watch an old movie instead of a newer 1 (which I did not have any of). I was just explaining a movie about a girl who owned a book store that was going to be shut down, and she had this individual she emailed that she never ever met that she decided to finally meet and they discovered out who the other person really was and how every thing went a little hay wire, to him when I heard the doorbell ring and hurried up to get it.

I swung the door open and saw the pizza delivery guy standing there with all the bag that held out pizzas. “Hi, great evening. Its nineteen-twenty-five.” he said reaching to open the bag.
“Oh! Right!” I held up my hand, “Just give me a moment to run up and grab some cash, I’ll be correct back.” I left the door open, knowing Andrew was correct in the other room and that absolutely nothing would happen, and bounded up the stairs to my room. The worse that could happen is the guy leaves with our pizza. I hurriedly went to my dresser and looked about for my old leather purse only to find it not there. Soon after a moment of unrewarded searching, I remembered I had stuck it in my school bag and went to search through it.
Right as I rescued my wallet from the clutches of my backpack I heard the front door close and hustled out the room to see Andrew walk back into the living area with two boxes in hand.

“Hey! Where’d he go?” I asked as I reached the bottom of the stairs and saw Andrew sitting on the couch using the pizza boxes in front of him.
“He went to go deliver more pizzas to the hungry people of this town.” Andrew joked.
“No really,” I said walking towards the living room. “I didn’t pay him.”
“I know,” Andrew stated lifting the lid of the boxes, allowing the smell of fresh pizza to hit my nose, “I did.”
“You paid?” I asked standing at the entrance to the room.
Andrew nodded. “Yeah.”
“Oh…” I said softly.
“Problem?” Andrew asked looking up at me confused.
I shook my head slowly, “Uh no. No problem.”
“Good!” Andrew cheered and settled into the couch.
I quietly went and started the DVD, before going to sit on the couch. I grabbed a slice of pizza and leaned back into the couch cushion.
“So,” Andrew started “Explain this movie to me once again. I?m not that great with chick flicks.”
?
Hope you liked it….

Behind those Lies…four – Story

It was finally December. Thank god! Only about a few more weeks until Christmas break! I was really excited to finally kick back and relax for about 2 weeks until we had to go back to school.
Eli was going to go and switch seats with some other guy that I used to like, David. When David came over, Angela asked him to go and call Eli back over here simply because I wanted him to be more than here. Don?t ask me how she had explained it to him, but somehow she just did.

Eli came back more than to our table and looked at me with his charming, yet sexy bright blue eyes. “Did you miss me?” he asked in a seductive tone, raising his eyebrows at me. “Tch, not really.” I responded, looking away from him.
“Alright, I?ll go back over there.” He said, picking up his things and moving back to the seat he was in before. “What the heck was that about?” Angela asked in a sort of angry expression. “You could have been like, ?Yes, I really did miss you!?” Angela said, mocking my voice as I rolled my eyes at her.
About two days later, I asked Eli for his jacket, since I was freezing in the science room. “Hey Eli, can I use your jacket?” I asked him. He looked at me.
“This 1?” He asked, pointing to his jacket that he was wearing. I nodded. “Well, I was sick and if I let you wear it, you?ll get sick too and I really don?t want that to happen.” He said.
Then he left as I turned to Angela. “Oh my god, he did not just say that!” I said happily. “I know! I can?t believe it either! That was like, sooo sweet of him to say that!” She squealed.

For a while now, since it was about a week later, Angela?s been pressuring me into talking to Eli from about the 1st of December to this week before Christmas break. “Come on, Kayla! Just talk to him already!” She demanded. God, this girl demands way too much some of the time.
I rolled my eyes as Eli came into the room. He sat down and started to talk to Angela. “Why are you looking at me?” He asked in a pissed off tone as she gave him an angered look.
“What the hell is your problem Eli? Do you hate on girls for a passion?” Angela asked back to Eli in his mocking pissed off tone.
“I don?t hate on Kayla!” Eli admitted as everyone within the room got quiet to hear Angela and Eli?s hate conversation.

I started to obtain nervous. Did he seriously just say that he was nice to me? I can?t believe it! Eli James just told me that he was nice to me.
Then, Mr. Roy came within the room. “Alright, everyone shut your mouths and great afternoon! James, seriously, shut the he-heck up!” Mr. Roy said as he walked more than to his desk.
Eli just all of a sudden shut his mouth. I smiled. It was fun to have Eli in my science class, simply because there was often something to see in science class that created me crack up.
A few weeks later, right after the winter break was more than and the day was almost done, I had science class left as my last period, with Eli and Angela. Eli had missed one day of class yesterday, since of some situation that came up. We were all 3 sitting at our usual table until Mr. Roy came over asked Eli if he got down the notes from yesterday.
“No.” He simply said. Mr. Roy turned more than to me.

“Do you have the notes?” He asked me as I opened up my notebook to check. I nodded.
“Eli, copy down the notes from her.” Mr. Roy said, walking away. “Can i?” He said, but before I would let him finish his sentence, I turned my notebook about to him so he could read what the notes said.
“Can you just read them to me?” He asked, holding the notebook out for me to take back. I smiled. Had I seriously just smiled at what he asked me? I must be going insane! I believed in my head.
As I was reading the notes for Eli to copy down, Angela nudged me with all the rim of her Converse shoes. I turned back to face her as she raised her eyebrows at me, simply because she knew that I liked him.

About a few days later, we had a pep rally as the schedule was shortened about 10 minutes each class. It was close to the end of the day as my friend; Roland and I were going to ditch the pep rally due to the fact there was really no point in going anyway.
“Are we going to ditch and ask Mr. Roy if we can just copy down some notes?” I asked Roland as we were walking down the halls to science class. “Yeah, but you have to ask him.” He said to me.
“Why do I have to ask him?” I asked, opening the door to the science room. “Well, because it was your plan!” He said.
I sighed. When I put my things down, the bell rang as everyone rushed into the room. “Hello and excellent afternoon!” Mr. Roy said, walking into the class.
“Are we going to watch a video today or what?” I asked to Roland who nodded. I rolled my eyes as Mr. Roy turned on the DVD player.

When the title screen came up I gasped and laughed. “Oh my god, IT?S A BABY!” I said, cracking as much as myself. “Ewwww, that?s gross.” Roland said.
“Haha, it?s just a baby dude.” I laughed as the movie began. It was probably the most boring thing I?ve ever watched in my life.
“This is the most boring thing I?ve ever watched in my life.” I commented as I turned away from the screen. Roland nodded.
Just then the principal called all of the 7th graders down to the gym for the pep rally. After about 30 minutes of that, I saw Eli run into the room.
Once I entered the room, it was all dark and I saw no sign on Eli. “Why is it so dark in here?” I asked myself aloud to nobody.

What I didn?t know was that Eli was hiding behind the trashcan by the door exactly where I entered. “RAAAAAAA!” He said loudly, jumping out from behind the trashcan which scared the hell out of me. I screamed.
“YOU SCARED THE HEL-CRAP OUT OF ME!” I said.
He started to laugh. “I can?t think you fell for that!” He said, still laughing. I growled as I cornered him and started to hit and kick him in his side.
After Angela came in, I went to go get my things. “What happened? I heard screaming!” She said as she entered the room. “Oh, that was me!” I said, raising my hand.
After Eli said something, I laughed and spoke back at him. “Well, now we?re even!” I said, picking up my things and exiting the room as he was trying to scare other people.
